How to select Dynamics environment and layer in Visual Studio for reports

Hello,

I've been trying to figure out how to select Dynamics environment and layer in Visual Studio for reports. I've tried MS Dynamics AX Config Utility, but the AOT view in VS remains the same.

    I set everything up in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration, but when I open up VS...the AOT still points to the TEST USR layer.

    you need open Visual studio using Command prompt

    using following command

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe" /AxConfig C:\Config\ContosoDev.axc

    for this you need create a Dynamics AX client config file (as per your development layer) and save it at specified location as specified in above command

    Please verify and this should be the solution for your problem

    I'm not sure though, have you checked your Business connector configuration ?
