The unsubscribe metric in a marketing email only references unsubscribes from subscription lists rather than the default subscription centre. I want to know how many people have clicked on the Unsubscribe link in my marketing email and opted out of emails, changing their Do not allow bulk email field to Do not allow. Is there somewhere in insights that has this information or a way to get this information for a particular customer journey?
Hi,
unfortunately the unsubscribe metrics is only tracked against unsubscribing from a subscription list. If a contact is "unsubscribing" via the "Do not bulk email" field, it is not shown within the dynamics marketing insights.
Struggling with the same thing. Is Microsoft working on this? What does that metric show in the journey overview? it does not reflect those who unsubscribe.
Does anybody have any suggestion on this? We also don't see the Unsubscribes related to an email, how are we suppose to report on this metric?
Did you manage to resolve this issue in the end?
We're seeing the same.
Is there any way to have people clicking on the Unsubscribed link accurately shown in the Unsubscribed metric? Seems a nonsense that it doesn't reflect the count by default.
Hi Habib,
That metric doesn't update for people who change their preferences on the default subscription centre. Here is an email that has been opened 2452 times. We know people have unsubscribed as we have checked their Do not allow bulk emails field but for some reason this doesn't count as an unsubscribe.
Thanks for the update. On the Overview page of the Insights tab, there is a metric that shows the number of users who clicked on the unsubscribe link (please see attached screenshot). Does that help with your question?
Thanks,
Dynamics 365 Marketing Team.
Hi Habib,
My question hasn't been answered. There is still now of seeing who has unsubscribed using the insights on a marketing email or customer journey.
Thank you for submitting your question. I've marked this thread as answered. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
