Add custom contact information type

I need to add another contact information type. What I mean is on the customers form -> Contact Information fast tab. My choices are Phone, Email address, URL, Telex, and Fax. I need to add another type to use. Where do you do this? I have been looking all over. We are on Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

    That type is enum LogisticsElectronicAddressMethodType, to extend a new type, you need to add some code in x++ to handle type

    From what I have found, this looks like the case. That is frustrating that you can't just add a new communication type out of the box.

    It’s almost impossible to cover all the requirements in a ERP only by using configurations. I can guarantee you, that in all the ERP’s I have worked it, AX it’s the most flexible.
