How can I inserts/updates records to multiple tables from single form in AX2012?

Scenarios is like I have single form having 2 fast tabs

1st have some data fields from one table and 2nd have grid from another table.

2nd grid table is having relation to 1st with unique filed from 1st table.

While creating new record through form, how can i insert record to both table as 2nd table has dependency from 1st?

    Hi Rahul,

    In case you are defining the field values of table 2 on the form itself then you can override the write method of table 1 on the form in order to insert a record in table 2( as table2 is dependent on table1).

    Otherwise you can override the insert method of table 1 on the table itself.

    Look at the documentation for UnitOfWork class and the ChangGroupMode property of form datasource.

    Hi rahul,

    Create one query for both tables and give normal relation with unique fields in table level,

    In form add data source Table1(Master table)

    definatly It will work.
