Dynamics 365 on-prem - Disable IFD

Afternoon all,

I've recently been working on migrating from ADFS 2.0 to ADFS 4.0 for use with Dynamics 365 on-premise, however, I've run in to a few stumbling blocks. While I work these out, I'm looking to disable IFD.

Our current ADFS server is 2008 R2 & exposing it to the internet is obviously a security risk because of its age. What I'd like to go is switch off IFD & force users to connect locally, rather than through the internet through the ADFS Server.

What's the correct process for making these changes please?

    Hi Dynamics2016_Admin,

if I have understood this correctly, you would like to switch off IFD & force users to connect locally, rather than through the internet through the ADFS Server?

    1. You can disable on your CRM server by following this link -  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/deploy/disable-claims-based-authentication

    2. This is another link which is a step by step guide for configuring ADFS 4.0 - https://interactivewebs.com/index.php/crm/how-to-set-up-microsoft-crm-2016-ifd-on-windows-2012-r2-server/
