Hi All,
Field Level Security is not getting applied for newly created users automatically? I have even assigned them to classes for which the field level security was already assigned, but still seeing a problem. Could you please advice what to be done?

As the creator and developer of Field Level Security, I can explain.
When you apply to a class, it just roles down to all users of that class for all the companies they currently have access to. The data is still stored at the user/company level and not at the class level.
If you want to apply field level security to a new user, it has to be a manual step.
FYI: GP Power Tools can do everything that Field Level Security can and more and does have the ability to assign to a class (and stores as a class). It also can assign to user and/or company, Security Task, Security Role and Modified Alternate ID.

In newer versions of Dynamics GP, since probably GP 2010 or so when we switched over to role based security, User Classes are not used the same way as they were in prior versions.
While user classes still exist, they're not used for security. You can use them to assign SmartList Favorites to and things like that, but not so much security, which is why the Field Level Security isn't working, even though in the FLS window you can select a User Class whereas in the User Security window, you cannot.

We have to apply it manually as well when creating new users. I believe that is how it is and will need to be added to your onboarding new user setup routine.
