Hi All,

I have requirements to take Application and Database backup in AX 2009. Customer wants to take backup (Application + Database) from Production Server and RESTORE (Application + database) backup in Dev server.

Note : Customer mostly did all customization in USR Layer.  Little bit customization also did in CUS layer.

Kindly let me know the steps.

Please give me more shed on this.

Thanks!

    Thanks Nikolaos,

I go through the link and almost understand.

As i mentioned before that "Customer mostly did all customization in USR Layer.  Little bit customization also did in CUS layer."

So, in that scenario i need to take Entire Application backup from Production server and Paste the Application backup in to Dev server.

    Is't correct?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

a careful movement is to take all layers from one server to other. In ax 2009 there is no model store, so copying all content of application folder will make sure layers being equivalent.

It doesn't matter which layer they customized most, you will have to copy all layer files.
