Migrating CRM2016 to D365 CE

Hello,

We are in the process of migrating CRM2016 to Dynamics 365 CE and need to understand what tools are available for the migration of data from the onprem version of CRM2016 to the D365 CE version in the cloud.  We tried using the configuration migration utility, but it takes a gigantic amount of time to copy 170k records to an XML file for import to D365.

Can you please give me some hints as to what is commonly being used in the field for migration of CRM data to D365?  There seems to be a void of tools from Microsoft and before I go out and purchase a 3rd party migration tool, I want to make sure I'm not blatantly missing the tool of record to use.  Links to the tool documentation would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Steve

    Steve,

If my reply (or replies) answers your question take a minute and verify the answer. You can do it by clicking "Yes" at the top of the reply (or replies) under the label "Does this answer your question?"

    Hello Steve,
Microsoft runs OP2OL(Onprem to Online) migration program. If you are interested, please go through the process outlined in this TechTalk :https://aka.ms/op2oltechtalk .
Please be aware that this is complete DB migration to cloud and not data migration.

If you are interested, do let me know so that I can reach out to you.

    Hello Steve,

I don't remember seeing anything from Microsoft.

I would highly recommend using SSIS and KingswaySoft adapters because they provide the initial version of the package - www.kingswaysoft.com/.../Announcing-Migration-Starter-Pack-v40-for-Microsoft-CDS-and-Dynamics-365CRM

It's not for free but it is worth every cent.
