Is there a report or window that will show total qty received, total qty sold and total qty returned since inception? We are looking at sales info on the life of an item and don't see that this is available.

I am not sure if there is a report that can provide that level of detail since you are really looking for Purchasing and Sales detail - two different functions in the system.
However, if you are able to work in SQL Management Studio, then I would suggest that you start with Victoria Yudin's report on Inventory Details - victoriayudin.com/.../ - but you will have make modifications to include the Purchasing Details. As I figured it so far the report looks at the sales of an item - but does not include the purchase details.
Victoria uses the
SOP30200 – Historical Transactions (header) – one record per posted sales transaction
SOP30300 – Historical Transactions (line detail) – one record per line item on posted sales transactions (for kits, there will be one record per kit component)
You might need to add the Purchasing module equivalents -
POP30300 - Receipts History (Header)
POP30310 - Receipts Line History (line detail)
And from the Inventory Module the
IV10200 - Purchase Receipts (header)
IV10201 - Purchase Receipts Detail (line detail)
Not saying you need all that data, but there are likely parts in the various tables that will contain the detail you are looking for.
This is a starting point - not a solution - but it should get you well down the road.
