Block payroll clerk from seeing pay rate amounts

A customer wants to hide pay rates from a new payroll clerk, especially for salary employees.  They will be entering time, building batches, and processing payroll.  However, they will only be working with hourly employees, not salary ones.  All in same database.  I tried the field level security to block the rate in pay code cards, but it didn't prevent them from seeing the rates.

Employee Pay code maintenance - hide field pay rate amount, and assigned to the user, logged in as the user - nothing is hidden.

Anyone have any ideas?

    Hey Deborah,

    Depending on where they want this all hid, we have an option in the payroll setup to hide this. The option is to hide it on Transactions.

    Hopefully this option will give the end results you are looking for.

    Since you need to hide and show Pay rate amount on  Pay Code Maintenance window based on Pay Type, this can only be done by customization.

    Display Pay Rate On Trx option is to display the employee's pay rates when transactions are entered using the Payroll Transaction Entry window and the Payroll Manual Check Transaction Entry window.
