Hello

I have created a new security role where in if a person has this security role assigned , they should be able to open the projtable form for a particular project,

after applying the security role when I am trying to check the functionality none of the menu items on the form are visible.

Theres no security applied on the menu items

Please advice as to what previlidge/duty an individual logged in user should have to be able to see the menu items on projtable form

Regard,

Hitesh.

Instead of creating ne role did you try to use existing role such as "Project manager (ProjProjectManager)" The duty you have assigned is a part of that  role.  If this one works for you , you can copy existing role and make changes in it as you need.

Also if you have assigned duty projProjectmasterMaintain you don't have to assign privilege separately as privilege is part of duty.

    Hi Sukrut

The reason I was trying a new role is because there were some new menu items in a different action pane tab on the application bar which weren't originally a part of OOB setup

I had assigned the duty to check if that was a concern

however, I got the issue fixed by a full build of the model with DB sync, yet to figure out why db sync with solution build didn't work.

Thanks for your help, it ensured I had a confirmation that the basics were done right :-)

    Regards,

    Hitesh.

    Hi Hitesh,

On a DEV environment, using the solution build, it is trying to sync only table changes. A security change is not triggering this. When you have changes to security, a full database sync is recommended in my experience.
