I have a site that is considering implementing Electronic Bank Reconciliation. They are on GP 2016 and the module will need to be installed. They have an active GP environment with a couple dozen or so companies and a scattered staff with a combination of local workstations and terminal servers. Though EBR is included in the site's license, it is currently not installed. That said, I've implemented EBR previously, but need my memory refreshed. If we install EBR on a single workstation server for development purposes and run Dynamics Utilities to update the databases, will that impact manual bank rec activity in our other companies.
Better said, should the module be installed on all workstations or can we leave it on one for now. Please advise. Look forward to response.

Hello LongtimeGPandSL,
There should be no issues with install EBR in a live environment where it would mess up current or prior reconciliations. All it would is create the procs, triggers and tables that are associated with the module.
When it comes to module installations on workstations, we recommend it be installed on all so the code is same between all. However, at the bare minimum, we would want it installed on the machines that the users who will be using the EBR process.
As always, be sure to have valid backups as we don't know if there will be any issues with the installation process. As it is a code change, would have a backup of the GP Code folder in place for the machines that you are installing it on.
I hope this helps!
Thank you!
