Copy Financial Statement to another company on the same database

 Dear all,

 Kindly advice, I would like to copy the financial statement created in one company to another company.

They are all on the same database.

Don't know how to do it.  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Su, Copying financial statement is possible in AX only within the same company as the tables has a unique rec id for each line of the financial statement. What you can try is by exporting the related tables using Excel template with data. Try importing it in the desired company. it might get imported without structures/ hierarchy.     We have tried by export and import with excel template and they appears

    without structure / hierachy. 

     So to import the entire FS completed with structure is impossible, right?

    Yes, as per my understanding it is not possible to import entire financial statement with structures in AX2009. We had tried doing this few months back but in vain.

    Hi,

    I have succeeded in copying also the structure at least in DAX4 SP2 with the export/import functionality. You need to include the following tables in your definition group:

    DimensionSetTable

    DimensionPriorityTable

    LedgerBalHeaderDim

    LedgerRowDef

    LedgerRowDefLine

    LedgerRowDefLineCalc

    LedgerBalColumnsDim

    By the way, we have found that the exports and imports take less time if you use type Standard instead of Excel export/import (if you just need to copy info from one company to another).

    Hi,

        I have copied the Data from the excel sheets from one company to other as the per the tables given by you. But when i go to General Ledger->SetUp->Financial Statement->Row Defination->Structure Design. The Data is been copied but the Hierarchy/Structure is not being shown. Can i get any help how to solve this.

              The tables given by Riko will do the job for you but you have to add one more table as "DimensionSetRuleTable" in that list.
