Has anyone else encountered this? After upgrading from the 7.x version to the 8.8.0.88 version of Field Service, the Location tab does not work anymore on our system form that was copied from the original Work Order form. It still works on the original form, but not on the copied and customized one.
Any suggestions?
I think the new work order form has new javascript files related to it, you may need to add the new js fiels to your own form
There is a new field, instead of a Webresource, that should display the map. I checked in a trial version and this field has a Custom control called CC_Map_Name. In our upgraded version, the new field is present, I already added it, but I can not find the custom control needed to load the map.
Hi,
I've ran into this problem also. Basically installed the version 8.8.xxx to customers test environment and the bing map on work order that originally used the depricated web resource broke down. So I tried to copy the msdyn_mapcontrol field but it was missing the custom control.
I have contacted Microsoft partner support related to this issue and am now waiting for their answer. There is though a very dirty work around to this involving making a solution then exportin that solution and manipulating the xml file. But this course of action is not adviced.
I've now ran into the same issue, did you find a resolution to this?
After a lengthy back-and-forth with MS support they provided us with a really complicated fix that would involve somehow hacking into the solution xml file.
Instead, we just replicated the form customizations on a copy of the updated standard Work Order form. This fixed the problem for now but who know when something like this will come up again.
Does anyone have a best-practice regarding customizing system forms so that newly released features will work alongside the customizations in the long-term?
Thanks, I guess... :)
I have an environment with this cc_map_name already on it and working, if you remove this control, it's also not possible to add it back to the field. So it looks like Microsoft have done something iffy with this control, that we cannot touch.
Hi Filipp,
Did microsoft support provide any resolution on this . please help as i am facing the same issue.
