Tax is not updating in GP

Hi All,

I'm updating the Tax for the order in Dynamics GP. But it throws an error as below.

"Tax table detail does not equal the tax amount - manual tax changes are not supported on Updates".

could you please any one suggest me on this.

    Why are you trying to override the tax amount? GP uses the tax schedule and the tax details to determine the tax amount. You are not allowed to override these amounts.

    Richard .

    Initially, Order placed with ZERO Tax in GP and after then order updated with the TAX amount ( Customization ).

    If you want to completely bypass the GP tax engine, can this tax be added as a line on the invoice?

    For my understanding , you are saying , tax will be added as a line on the order ?.

    Frankly NO. I don't want do like that. I want to add the TAX at Sales Header level on the order. i.e.,  TAX Field

    Richard,

    Can you please briefly explain me about below two fields in taSopLineIvcTaxInsert_ItemsTaSopLineIvcTaxInsert Class.

    If Order total is 50$ and Tax Amount is 12$ then which values are passing to these fields ?.

    TXDTOTTX    -----      Total tax detail

    TDTTXSLS     -----   Total taxable sales
