should initial a new legal entity from process data package from LCS?

Hi there,

I need to initial a new legal entity in empty environment.

should I load configuration data from LCS's process data package?  looks the packages are generated in 2017.

or should I use the copy legal entity function in a demo data environment to create a new legal entity with demo and do some adjustments, then export configuration data using the data templates in DM, and import them to that empty environment?

    Hi Alan,

    You are not mentioning what type of environment you have and what would be the purpose of the new legal entity. Depending on your requirement, you can deploy a VM including demo data. If this is for an implementation, partners might have own data packages as best practice for particular countries or industries.

    The packages available on LCS do contain some base data setup. Most of them will still work, but you might need to adjust and complete it.

    You can also configure a LE in another environment and then move the configuration with help of export and import.

    Hi André,

    thanks for your response.

    I am the partner, is trying to do an implementation for a retailer.

    They just need the retail module since they have other systems for finance and wms.

    So I just need some basic system setup, finance configuration data for initialing a legal entity in an empty environment.  

    actually I am preparing a golen data environment.
