Does batch job stop working if you disable the user account which set it up?

Hi all,

I was wondering whether batch jobs stop working if the user account which was used to set it up is disabled. The user account was used by an employee who no longer works within the company. Would it be safe to disable account?

Hi Henna786,

It will stop batch job from executing, so you will have to recreate it. You can change batch job user via x++ job or SQL, but recreate is easiest solution.

Is there any way that batch jobs can be copied over rather than re-created under a new user?

I am afraid there is no copy functionality, as stated above, you will need a developer to update the batch / batchjob tables in the backend to switch out the user account.
