Save and Send function using Zetadocs Express prevents navigation in Outlook and NAV before email is sent

Hi All,

When we use the 'Save and Send' function to send an invoice in NAV, a new email message is created in Outlook with the Invoice as a PDF attachment, as expected. However, we then can't look up anything in NAV or Outlook whilst the email message window is still open and has not been sent. The only options I can see to get back control of NAV and Outlook are to either send the email or close the email window. Can anyone advise if there is a way round this or is this just how NAV/Zetadocs Express works.

We are using Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 (Build 7.1.35473.0), Zetadocs Express and Outlook 2013.

    Hi Blair and All,

    We have same problem. This also causes locking errors to other users, because the NAV record is reserved by e-mail process.


    We are using Dynamics NAV 2013 (Build 7.0.35553.0), Zetadocs Express and Outlook 2010

    Hello Blair,

    This is the expected behaviour when using Zetadocs Express and we are not aware of any workarounds. 

    When using Zetadocs for NAV Delivery editions, this issue can be avoided by previewing the document to be sent in the Zetadocs PDF Client.
