Retail Kit | Revise components or qty

Hi AXians,

I using retail kits. I defined all my components and qty.

I released the retail kit and i got new configuration number also.

Now after two three months, there is small changes in components.

So the user need to modify the conponents and qty. Systematically speaking, if it create new configuration dimension.. its ok..

Now comes the case, AX is not allowing to modify retail kit after releasing the product. Even not allowing to create new version. How to manage when we need changes to a released retail kit. ? Need to totally creare new KIT or any other workaround ?

Hi Mohammed,

Once the Kit is approved, then we do not allow any change which can alter the existing kits configuration.

This is because there might already be kits created with that configuration and being sold at the stores.

Thus we do not allow adding and deleting a new component and also do not allow deleting a substitution.

We understand there might be mistakes while creating a kit and that is why we created an additional approval step.

But once the approval is done, then no breaking change to the existing kits configuration is allowed. This is by design.

If you need to modify approved kit, you have to create a new kit with modified components.
