Import sales order by DMF

Hi all
 
Do you have any experience of how many records/lines in a sales order it is possible to import by using DMF? I have tried 4000 records and it takes days(!)

    Did you use the composite entity? Composite are famously slow, is there the possibility to user Header and Lines entity separately?
