I've set up my customer journey, with various pathways for a customer to go down. Generally in terms of insights and the data it collects is relatively accurate. However, on the Lead tiles, I can't define what action has to be taken by the customer in order for MDM to determine whether it will be added as a lead.
In April, this seemed to be a feature which you could do - I generated 30+ accurate and quality MQL's from a customer journey. I was able to define that a lead would be created if the customer visits a landing page but does not submit the form. However now, it seems I can't define what and how a customer should be added as a lead. The leads I am currently generated consist of inaccurate data and customers that haven't even opened the email yet (generally looks like a bot scanning and opening all the links). Does anyone know how I can generate accurate leads? This data is not useful and I'm forced to remove all these leads.
thanks
Hi Mollie,
There are several ways to optimize your filter criteria.
For example, you can set the link as a Website or Redirect URL, with which the interactions have a parameter called Visit Duration. By setting a certain value for the Visit Duration, you can filter out non-robotic visits.

Or you can insert a marketing form in the email and send the email to the contacts via the journey. Set some options in the form, e.g. interested or not. The information of the contacts can be updated when they submit the forms. This allows you to determine if a Lead is generated based on the content submitted by the contact.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
