Posted on by 20

Hi,

We have Dynamics GP 2015 installed on our server, but I cannot see Fixed Assets under Financial. Can anybody help me?

Thank you

Thank you so much. Your reply was very helpful. The users were accessing GP using Citrix. I had to add Fixed Assets to the GP installation on Citrix server.

    Hi there,

Are you attempting to access Fixed Assets from the server or are you trying to access from the users workstation? If you are attempting from the users workstation you will want to make sure that you have Fixed Assets installed and registered, on that workstation as well.  Do you have more than one user that you can test with? You could try with another user after you ensured security to Fixed Assets is granted to them as well.

NOTE: After security is changed you will need to logout and back in as the user to refresh security.

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics GP Communities.

Thank you. I granted the user both of these FA privileges but to no avail.

You'll have to grant users security to it in Administration>Setup>System>User Security.

There should be some pre-configured "Roles" for Fixed Assets, but if you don't see them you may have to setup security to those windows manually.

Here is a link to documentation for GP Security that you can use to understand Roles and Tasks

Thank you. I did that. I noticed I can only see Fixed Assets when I am logged in under sa.

Do you know how can I add it to the other users?

Go to Administration>Setup>System>Registration and make sure that Fixed Assets is marked.
