How to Customize the Profile in Business Central On premise

Hi community,
Is it possible to customize the top-right profile username display in Business Central On-Premises?
My idea is to create a custom mapping table in AL that maps the Windows login to a friendly display name, for example:
    DOMAIN\user01 → Koko
    or DOMAIN\user01 → Dex
But I am not sure if the top-right profile area can read from a custom table or if it is locked to the Windows login name.
Has anyone done something like this before?

    Hello,
    No in short: you can’t make that top-right username read from your own AL mapping table. That label is part of the web client shell/header, not a normal page control that AL profile/page customization can override, so standard customization/personalization won’t reach it. In on-prem, the supported approach is to change the Business Central user’s own name data instead—typically the user Full Name maintained on the BC user account/admin side—rather than trying to replace the displayed Windows login with a custom table lookup. So your idea is good conceptually, but for that specific corner of the UI, standard AL says no; user metadata/admin update says yes.
