Sales Order Header Discount in amount

Hi,

i would like to apply sales order header discount in amount. it is not specific to any item or any specific amount. customer to customer or sales order to sales order discount varies.

example: Total invoice is USD 500 i can give dicount of usd 10, for invoice USD 500 i can give discount of usd 5

In standard AX discount on Header can be applied in percentage. such as 5%, 10% etc.

There is no direct way to specify Total Discount in amount such as USD 80 discount on Order of USD 1000.

We have done such customization on SO, and PO for few clients. Most probably you need customixzation, unless if someone suggests here a out-of-box way to this issue.

Did you look at the sales order - Totals button , I hope there is a field allows to enter the fixed amount as discount.?

your hope is wrong.

Total screen is just a view, showing you SUM of numbers.

if you want to know technically, if that is really a view or you can enter data on TOTAL screen, have a look here

TOTAL screen is just a View and nothing more.

Can we fixed a line discount in sales order --

Simple in sales order i set a trade discount on product 'Itm0001' which is 20 Rs

but when sales man create sales order and he can not give discount more than 20 Rs
