Production order estimate process takes long time in the live environment.
the server hardware is very good, we don't know what is causing the issue.
Hi Mahmoud,
There could be many reasons of causing this issue.
1. What is your BOM level. 4,5? Or Formula?
2. Do you have any customization on BOM logic or costing sheet level?
3 What is your AX 2012 version?
4. Are you facing this issue on all finished Goods products or on specific ones?
Try to reproduce the same on any different environment with BOM, one single operation link to route and without costing sheet. Check the performance.
Thanks Junaid Idrees .
1- we are using formula.
2- no customization on costing sheet.
3- AX 2012 r3 version number 6.3.3000.110
4- issue is on all finished products.
5- I tried on test environment result is the same, I tried in contoso VM and it happens in different times.
To be able to now what is causing it, you need to start monitoring. Are the hardware resources sometimes a bottleneck? Is it something within SQL server database? A configuration? Mahmoud, I doubt about your AX table indexing is not properly maintained. Please rebuild all che indexes of BOM, ProdBom and Inventtrans and i hope you will find significant differences in performance.
I do remember in AX 2012 this was known issue, estimation process used to take longer time if your BOM has 6 RMs lines.
