Approving AP Invoices

Hi,

We have an issue where the only function that managers will need to perform in AX is approving AP invoices.  Is there any way to do this from the EP with a minimal license?  Or is there anyway to approve via an e-mail?  Any ideas as to how to approve an invoice prior to posting without needing an enterprise license - we will be scanning the documents and attaching as well.

    Hi

    It depends on the version of AX, if I remember correctly it's R2 CU7 and above.

    Using purchase invoice workflow & email approval may be possible, there is also a windows app for approvals but it does require and Azure connection

    Hi Rosey,

    I think before considering on the way, module or platform where to approve the invoice you should probably have another look at your process flow and scanning software that you want to link to AX. Many scanning software providers ship with a built-in invoice approval system before the invoices are recorded in AX.

    I am also not sure how and where you attach your invoices (using MS SharePoint or a third-party document software solution) in AX. If you use a third-party document software provider you might already get some approval features out of the box and might not have to think how to do the approval in AX.

    I would suggest that you check again your process flow and whether you already get some approval features out of the box from the third-party software you have to link to AX. If you are lucky they provide you everything that is necessary and you can save some AX license costs?!
