Dear Experts,
i want to know the name of the role or privilege that prevent the user from changing the financial dimensions on the sales order,
the purpose is to avoid any development on the form if possible.

If I understood you correctly, you want to restrict users to change, amend Fin Dim in SO?
If so, you can create a custom role add restrict only that control, it is of course possible.

Go to Sales order line details >> Financial dimension tab >> Right click and Personalize (You will see Lock option)
Are you using "Saved view" feature recently introduced by MS?

After doing the change mentioned above, Save that view by admin user and create a custom role >> Publish the changes and assign that role to all users.
I believe this should work, Try it out and share your feedback.

To really secure the dimension, you need to extend the form with development. The Saved views is an alternative, but users can switch to another view. This can also prevented by disallowing users to personalize the particular form with help of the Personalization form which can be managed by system administrators.
i managed to solve it by creating a new role in x++, and if the user has this role, the dimension tab will be locked on form init method ( use the form control object , and set the property enabled(false) for it )
