Adding Belgium local functionality in Navision 2013

One of our client have the following requirements

  1. Adding all the Belgium local Functionality (includes Belgian Electronic Banking, Belgian Intrastat Reporting, Belgian VAT, Enterprise Numbers and Branch Numbers, Apply and Unapply General Ledger Entries, Set the Work Date as the Posting Date, Create Financial Journals, Export to Accon, Set Up Standard Sales or Purchase Lines ) into the Worldwide version of NAV 2013 R2

  2. In terms the Add-On with the changed objects should be merged into the localized version of NAV, to use that Add-On in Belgium.

I understand that Normally for objects localization we export the Caption ML file into txt file and use Navision Localization Workbench to translate them. But the complete merge procedure will be developed as an add-on in W1 version.

Please let me know if it is possible using c# as development language or still we need to use C/Side programming. Or any alternatives for this?

You'll need the local functionality granule in your license...not only the captions. My recommendation is to prepare a new installation with that, and then move your data and customizations.

    Good luck!

Thanks for your reply, but how about the Add-on concept to be merged into the W1(worldwide version) version. How these complete customization can be merged as a add-on into the NAV?

    Hi Srini,

For caption translation, from NAV 2013 R2, just translate captions in text files and place them in Translation NAV Service folder, no need to merge them back. You can find more information at msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn479850(v=nav.80).aspx

    Please check the Url msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj983955(v=nav.70).aspx

I want to merge these Belgian Localizations mentioned in the URL in a W1 add-on of Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 and the merge procedure should also include translations ENU, FRB and NLB of the Belgian objects.

    How to achieve these?

    hi,

if you mean with add-on the customization (modified objects) the merging is done by textual adjustment. means exporting the target object and the original object (that with the modifications) and merging the changes from original to target by using e.g. beyond compare. the additional objects (mostly with object id >= 50000) go with just exporting/importing.

the belgian localised version of nav 2013 r2 is downloadable from:

    https://mbs.microsoft.com/customersource/northamerica/NAV/downloads/product-releases/MSDNAV2013R2DownloadPage#OrderingInformation

die (standard) enu lables are included anyway.

for the language modules (FRE, ...) goto:
