General journal menu item missing

Hi All,

For one of our instances >Open in excel line option is not coming.

We have unmarked and re-marked the template in 'document templates' and tried deleting the template and re-adding it without success. We have tried marking out of the box templates and that does not result in the option being available.

Can someone say where all we should check for setup for this menu item?

    Hi Dipanjali,

    For OOB templates, do you try to reload system templates in document templates?

    For custom templates, you need to add it in AOT, please refer to this document: docs.microsoft.com/.../add-templates-open-lines-excel-menu

    Hello Dipanjali,

    In addition to reloading the standard document templates can you check if it makes a difference if you open D365FO in another browser or to open it in an InPrivate mode.

    Hi Dipanjali,

    Can you explain if the button is missing or the button is visible, but not working? Do you have security roles assigned to this user? If so, and if the button is invisible, the culprit could be a missing duty/privilege in this role.
