Guys,
While performing the update in LCS for dev it is getting failed. We checked the log and figure out that there is a disk space issue.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/deployment/deployable-package-troubleshooting I followed the below link.
I’m receiving the below error when trying to create new keys under the HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dynamics\Deployment registry key
‘Cannot create key: You do not have the requisite permissions to create a new key under Deployment’
Can you please suggest me to fix this
First of all, what type of dev system is this? Is it MS hosted system (the one that came with the subscription) or Cloud hosted environment in your Azure subscription?
Second, could you please take one step back and share the original issue details with us. How did the deployment fail? What did you see in the logs?
Hi Michael,
Did you run regedit as an Administrator?
I guess you can also delete old packages also from %ServiceVolume%\DeployablePackages
It is a Cloud hosted environment in our Azure subscription. I have downloaded the log from the LCS it shows Insufficient disk space error
Hi Sergei , Thanks for the answer we tried that but only limited space we got
How much free disk space you have on Service Volume disk? At what step deployment failed?
Yes, the space is always limited. But how much do you now have free?
You can also increase disk size in Azure Portal. But normally removing your unneeded files from the VM should be enough.
Hi sergi ,
I have only 250mb remaining in 101gb. I am not sure what file i should remove only the old deployable package?
Did you try removing files from %ServiceVolume%\DeployablePackages?
Also please see if you have some unnecessary files in C:\temp, or Recycle bin.
Thanks Nikolaos for your reply. Removing the deployable package will affect anything? In my Dev cloud it occupies nearly 41gb disk space
If you have a lot of files in DeployablePackages, you can sort them by Date modified and keep the last package (with the latest modified date) (i guess it's 3 files which start with the same name). Also, check Nicolaos suggestion and recycle bin and temp folder.
