Cannot locate contact record from the excluded blocked email events

Hello, 

I am trying to clean up a marketing list by going through the excluded emails in a recent email sent. However, I am running into issues. 

I cannot locate a contact record for a contact that has been blocked. The contact shows up in the excluded email events, however not in the marketing list. How is this possible? Does deactivation have something to do with it?

Is it possible that contacts were deactivated, yet not taken off the marketing list? Does that have an effect? What does deactivating a contact actually do?

    Hello Sabina.

    It depends on the type of your marketing list.

    If your marketing list has been created as static, you can define the way to add the members. Than the list only changes if it's manually adjustet accordingly.

    If your marketing list has been created as dynamic, than an advanced find has to be created, which automatically fills this list. If a record no longer meets the condition of your dynamic marketing list, it will be removed from the list.

    Hello Karsten,

    The marketing list is static. In the email send showing excluding emails, there are emails showing up as being blocked that are not on the marketing list. Why is there a email event being creating for a contact record that is not in the marketing list? How would I clean this up?
