OData Metadata Feed Reliability

I am working on a ISV solution which needs to parse the Metadata feed of FinOps OData.
While the `<FO-URL>/data/$metadata` is working fine in UAT and Live, on Dev environments this feed is failing with an `Out-of-Memory` exception.
 
Is there any possibility of this occurring in Production?
Is there any other way to get entities Metadata?

    What if you simply download the file, rather then trying to show its content in the browser? If you need to see it (although it doesn't look useful to me), does it happen in all browsers?

    Hi,
    In the development environment, the out-of-memory exception may be caused by a large amount of data, resource limitations or any other factors in the environment. In the production environment, similar issues may occur depending on the configuration and resource allocation of the environment, or other factors. You have to verify it yourself in Production. 
    As Martin said, maybe you can try to download the file instead of showing it in the browser, which can avoid many problems.
