I have an AX 2012 R3 CU9 setup with multiple legal entities that span over various regions.
For most of the different regions I could customize the SalesInvoice report to create a unique layout and when select it prints 100% but when it comes to a Brazil entity, it seems that it's not working at all. From what I've manage to troubleshoot, it seems that the Brazil localization uses the FiscalDocument_BR as the default document layout for most of the transactions types.
When trying to print invoices from Accounts Receivable > Common > Sales orders > All sales orders > Invoice tab > Invoice journal , it seems that it's running through the SalesInvoice classes, but not selecting any data to display, where as if I select the FiscalDocument_BR.Report as the desig, it works.
Would this mean that you can't use the SalesInvoice report to print invoices from invoice journals ?
I am a still a novice at Ax development and especially Brazil entites, any advise or explanation would be appreciated.

have you tried changing the report design in print management as selection?
