I'm trying to get a behaviour on AX and that is to have negative physical inventory but just on specific warehouses.
This is for a customer who keeps products on vendors' warehouses and usually keep vendors' products on their own warehouses. So their intention is to have the items on a single warehouse and according to the quantity (if it is possitive o negative), they would easily know the consolidated position (who owes to who).
I tryed to achive this by using WHS and the "negative inventory" check box checked on the location profile in a singular location for the vendor's warehouse.
However, as the customer isn´t using products with WHS enabled, that validation wasn't done. It means, i could sell more items than i physically had doesn't matter if the location where i was selling / transfering them allowed negative inventory.
Think that validation is only activated then your using the mobile device.
Is it right what it happened to me? Or am i missing something? Do you have any ideas about another way to achieve this behaviour?
