Translate Form Template buttons

Hello,

I was able to create a translation to hebrew through the LCS and label extensions capabilities.

The only objects not translated are the form template buttons (New, Edit, Delete). I could not find a label file for them.

I assume it is in some application files. Can someone share any information regarding changing form templates?

    Hi ShimritSN,

Did you translate all label files available? Or only the SYS labels? If you did translate all, it might be a "kernel" label which was stored in a KTD file in previous versions. I don't think it is possible to create a KTD file for a production environment as you can only deploy deployable packages. It is not possible to add files manually on a specific location.

    Hi Andre,

Yes I have translated all relevant label files including: kernel, sysapp, sysappdesigner and all relevant text I could find. I also restarted iis.

I saw these buttons are being translated in Russian so I believe it is a data issue but I can't seem to find it. I also don't understand why I can see the russian language when I don't seem to have it installed on my development env (I can't look for a russian label).

Do you maybe know how I can see the template form for listPage, details master etc. In 2012 it was StyleBP form, but in 365 it's obviously different.

    Thanks,

    Shimrit.

    Hi Andre,

I've found under J:\AosService\WebRoot\OfficeApps\Resources .resjson files that seems to be relevant to the translation.

I don't know how I can add a resource file for my language.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Shimrit.

    Hi Shimrit,

You cannot add this type of files yourself on a production environment. These files seems to be related to the Office add-in. I do think there are similar files for AX common form buttons. The reason why the Russian and also some other language are translating them is the fact that AX was already supported in those regions.

I will try to get some details from Microsoft on this topic.

    Hi Shimrit,

I contacted Microsoft and they have stated that indeed it is currently not possible. They are still using the KTD files like they did in previous versions. Possibly Microsoft will consider finding a solution. But no guarantees if and when....  You can read about upcoming developments on the roadmap pages: https://roadmap.dynamics.com

You could try to create a language specific KTD file and place it on development environments manually. Bu not on STAGING and PRODUCTION environments.
