Need Base application code for merge 2015 to 2016.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I want to do a conversion from nav 2015 to nav 2016.
For code merge I need the original application code to compare for differences. But I don't have the base code anymore. Is there an easy way to get base application code for a particular nav 2015 version?

Thanks,

Patrick

If you just want to try upgrade to 2016 u may not require  base file use same as modified ....

u would get wat u require .. but if really wanna see changes from original --- Modified

and Modified to target u need  that ..

if u done back up like in start to separate folder apart from  default C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\Database\"xxxx.Bak"'file..

    Thanks And regards

    Hi,

You can check the build of your custom database in codeunit 1 (Function - ApplicationBuild()).

Once you found the build you can download the DVD from partnersource for that build from below link (It contain the Build No) -

    mbs2.microsoft.com/.../kbdisplay.aspx

If its initial build of NAV 2015 then download from below link -

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../msdnav2015download

Please verify build no in the current customized database(check within codeunit 1).

Download the the same build from partner source.

    or

You could also find the demo database within installation folder set. Restore the SQL backup file.
