Dynamics NAV Service Module - Booking and Appointment

In an automotive company, there is a demanding need for enhanced functionality in the service module of Dynamics NAV. The company needs the following requirements:

1- Receive calls for service and check the service schedule (per hours) in order to check the allocated times and appointments for services and the availability of the resources (persons, labors and tools) per hours

2- Book a specific service like inspection for a specification duration and time (For instance, 1:00 PM TO 2:00 PM )

3- The system should provide a resources availability (already existing in the system) but per hour and times .. for instance:

  • From 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Resource MARK is allocated for Engine Overhaul
  • From 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM - Resource Linda  is allocated for Car Inspection / Resource: Quality room is allocated

Therefore, when a CRM employee receives a call from a client, they can check what is the available time for the client to take an appointment and the service process will proceed accordingly.

Can this be supported in the standard functionality of Dynamics NAV ? If not, is there any Add-ons or third party applications for this specific area ?

Thanks in Advance,

Best Regards,

    A. Saf ,

According to Tags : you having NAV 2017

can you confirm that your CRM : having integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or something else

if you integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM : feel like no need of any customization you can pass time frame gaps From CRM to NAV

but if you haven't Microsoft Dynamics CRM definitely its a customization

    Thank you very much

Although, I don't think that CRM is an option to us. The client chose Dynamics NAV since it has built-in functionality for the CRM which is integrated with the service module.

I have been checking the service order, and can see that there is an option for the starting time and ending time ... are these just informational fields which have no link with any allocations of time for resources ?
