Hi All,
I want to creat a new legal entity 'CM02' and I hope the legal entity‘s number sequence can be copied from an old legal entity ’CM01‘. For example, if "journal batch number" in 'CM01' is setup 'CM01###' , I want it can be 'CM02###' in legal entity 'CM02'. So I want the number sequence can be copied from old legal entity ’CM01‘ and be the new format for legal entity ’CM02‘.
Could you tell me how to deal with this requirement.
Thank you
Hi Jacky,
Did you go through the old thread:
community.dynamics.com/.../changing-number-sequence-format-when-using-the-copy-into-legal-entity-function-data-management-in-d365
You can copy number sequence from one company to other companies via Work spaces > Data management > Copy into legal entity
Then you can define source legal entity and target compay(ies). By activating "Copy number sequence", entities for number sequences and references will be added to selected entities. Then you can reset the values to smallest value and then start the copying job.
Hi Judy,
Thanks for your reply.
It seems that “Copy into legal entity” in Data Management is the solution.
Hi Alireza,
