You can found it in Customer ledger entry table and look at the field Applies to doc type,Applies to doc no,Close by entry no etc. You can find the relation.

It is total BS, not to mention sloppy lazy programming and design in NAV, that you can't just drill down in less than 2 steps to get this kind of information.

On  a DAILY basis I curse the poor design that leads to screen after screen after screen after screen being opened in order to get this basic information.

The issue here is that one invoice can be applied to numerous payments, and visa versa. In most complex case, many invoices can be partly applied to many partials of payments. Thus, it could be difficult to visualize the application history within one flat report for the list of invoices. This is why the Customer/Vendor Ledger Entry table is not suitable basis for your report.

As recommended by other community members, you can press "Applies-To" button to check the list of documents, applied to the selected document. The correct basis for your report would be the Detailed Customer/Vendor Ledger Entry table.

Check Page 61 and in Open Page of that it has the logic how to find the applied entries for that particular payment.

    Check here.

I am able to see the related Application Entries in the following screen. Select any of the payment lines > Click Applied Entries option and you would get the Applied Customer Entries.
