Fill unmapped fields in data entity

Hi,

I created a new entity to export several data from smmBusRelTable. Also I try to export some values with this entity that are not part of smmBusRelTable. So I create unmapped fields therefore. But I can't fill them in methode mapDataSourceToEntity...

I thought I could do that in this methode but the debugger didn't stop in this methode anyway. So I think the methode will not be used yet? Do I have to make some setups to run through this methode?

In DMF I use this function:

    First of all, decide if you want to create a computed column or a virtual field. Computed columns are more difficult to implement (you must write X++ code generating T-SQL), but they're more efficient. If you want a virtual field, which seems to be the case, populate fields in postLoad() methods.

    Also, don't forget that D365FO has documentation. You could have found the answer in Computed columns and virtual fields in data entities.

    I take virtual fields, because I'm not familiar with the T-SQL syntax...

    I try to fill the fields there... And let you know the result...;-)

    But then what is the method mapDataSurcetoEntity responsible for?

    mapDataSourcetoEntity() is used on import, not export.

    I think it's used when the system tries to find existing records to update.
