What is impact of changing schedule mode from "fixed duration" to "fixed effort"

Hello Team,

Please let me know that impact of changing schedule mode from "fixed duration" to "fixed effort".

We have business scenario where effort is fixed but not duration. for example in one week duration task to be completed by 8 hours.

If I will change schedule mode from "fixed duration" to "fixed effort" of project, then it will change for new projects only. how about existing projects, should I change schedule mode for existing project also?

    In a nutshell:

    • In fixed effort, effort is constant.
    • When duration is changed, units are recalculated.
    • It's only possible to set a scheduling mode for a NEW project. Scheduling mode for existing project can't be changed.
