Dear All my brothers and sisters..

i have one location for storage of goods, the location has a depth dimension of 10 ", length 10", width 10 "and its total volume of 1000". The maximum weight of 10 kg. then I also have items that have a dimension of depth 2 "long, 2" wide and 2 ", volume 2" and weighs 1kg. when I have receipt transactions that item and have quantity of 10000 and I allocated to the location, it should not be allocated to that location because it can not accommodate the quantity of goods as much as 10000 but currently AX can perform goods receipt with quantity already exceeded the capacity of the location , can AX accomodate dimension of location for dimension item? when the location was already full then it can no longer perform the receipt of goods at the location.

Thanks Before.

    Hi Kevin,

Can I ask whether you have the following setup complete:

(note: I use UK language so stock is inventory etc.)

    1. "location profile" - This is where the dimensions for the location are setup
      • warehouse management > setup > warehouse setup > location profiles
    2. the location has the location profile set
      • warehouse management > setup > warehouse setup >locations
    3. "physical dimension groups" - This is where dimensions for the items are setup
      • warehouse management > setup > stock > physical dimension groups
    4. the item has the physical dimension group set
      • On product details page in "warehouse management" area

If the above is setup correctly it should fulfil the function you require.

    Regards,

    Matt
