Hi,

Is there a way to enter a customer delivery address on the fly on a sales order? Basically use an address that is not already in the system. We are a distribution company and often have scenarios where we need to ship to a customer's end customer's home address - which obviously would not be in the system.

Or would this need to be a customization?

OK I understand, I would therefore suggest that you accept the default and manually update this on the Sales order itself (if still possible). That way the delivery address will effectively exist only for that Sales order and not stored against the customer at any point. You will also not have to make any more key strokes than would be necessary if specifying the address manually whilst creating the Sales order.

Yes, it does, but the thing is, we do not want to necessarily store that new address on the customer anywhere, since the delivery address is likely just a one time thing, we don't want to flood the customer master with useless information.

From memory the address is pre-populated once the customer account is selected but isn't there an Alt. address button on the Create sales order form already?
