Real-time Marketing custom event triggers

If I create a custom Real-time Event Trigger to track online purchases, is there a way to reference this data in a dynamic segment? My research shows that you need a Customer Insights licence in order to build segments off that data. Is that correct?

Essentially, I have a customer journey that runs on a Subscription List and I need to find a way to remove the Contacts who have already purchased products online.  In other words, I don't want to send an email to those Contacts convincing them to buy my product if they have already bought it.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Creating segment does not need the license of Customer Insights.

You can try to create a dynamic segment with the following template - Participated in a journey.
