We are in a desperate search for some simple bill of lading software for NAV2009 R2 Classic. We have looked at E-Ship, but it's overkill to what we require. We do not have to tie in scales or anything like that. We need something basic that will produce a BOL, commercial invoice, etc and store the info. A few other companies have suggested we have our NAV partner develop something for us, but that's a last resort. What are people out there using?

you could start with that excel template

or with the pdf template suggested by me in the above message.
create a new table with the needed fields, then create a new report on base of that new table and try to copy the table structure like in the templates, add the needed fields. additional you'll need a new form or page on base of that new table to fill in the data, which are then printed out with the new report.

yes there are some limitation with NAV , but the best thing is you can develop it as you want if you have the logic you can develop it as you want
I think "Mr Jonathan Archer" gave you great template , just change is as you want and give it to you partner
Thanks Jonathan. We had a meeting with our NAV Partner this morning and we will have something developed for us. I'm just really surprised that NAV does not have this functionality. It must be the only ERP system out there that does not have this. At least our version.
