I have no idea how I did this, but - I can't figure out how to get this back on my taskbar. This is just my internal play version for TWO, but it irritates me that I can't seem to et this back.

I have reset the task bars and still can't get this back.

RE: Lost my Microsoft Dynamics GP drop down on the main menu

You're most likely running into the issue that is mentioned in this blog:

    community.dynamics.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-gp-fall-2021---upgrading-the-web-client

We've added the fix to this issue in the Jan 2022 hotfix for Dynamics GP 18.4, which is the 'MicrosoftDynamicsGP18-KB4576805-ENU.msp' patch for 18.4.1434.

    mbs2.microsoft.com/.../

The issue is to do with the Web Client Runtime feature we install with Dynamics GP desktop that Web Client is pointed at, specifically the 'WebClient' folder it puts into the Dynamics GP desktop directory, needed in order to use Web Client.

If you're not currently on 18.4.1434 and aren't able to upgrade right now, this workarounds should resolve the issue as well:

    1.    In your GP 18.4 desktop client directory, that Web Client is pointing at, there will be a ‘WebClient’ folder in the GP directory. Move that ‘WebClient’ folder out of your GP 18.4 directory.

    2.    Install GP 18.3 code selecting only the 'Web Client Runtime' feature, as that is all we need. Once the 18.3 is installed, copy the 'WebClient' folder into the GP 18.4 directory that Web Client is pointing at.

    3.    You may or may not need to restart the GP Session Central Service and GP Session Service.

    4.    Have a user launch Web Client, log into Web Client and see if they now see all the menu options they would expect to see.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you
