AX 2012 localization for Portugal and South Korea

Hi ,

I need information on AX 2012 R3 localization availability for Portugal and South Korea.

Microsoft Localization guide doesn't have information on these countries and has last been updated 2 years back.

Also information on HR and Payroll AX 2012 R3 Add-ons for Portugal required.

Early resposne is highly appreciated..

Hi Sridhar,

There is no Microsoft localization for these countries. You can try to contact the local Microsoft offices to ask if there are partners having localization in means of translation and/or funtionality available.

For Portugal there isn’t a Microsoft localization for Dynamics AX, there a 2 localization by made local partners.

Since I work as a freelancer for one of them, I will not indorse any of the localizations. Has far I has known, there isn’t a payroll add-on for AX in Portugal. Both of them, are using interfaces with Dynamics NAV for payroll processing. The number of AX installations in Portugal don’t justify the investment in development of an AX add-on.

Please, take into consideration that standard Dynamics AX in Portugal covers most legal requirements, but you can’t issue any invoice to a customer without using a certified add-on by the Portuguese authorities.

If you me send me a private message with your contacts, I will send you the direct contacts of the sales manager. You can discuss directly with them the costs of localization. I’m not affiliated with any of those partners.

By certification costs are you referring to certify Dynamics AX by yourself in the local authorities ? I don’t think there is any cost associated with certification process. The “certification” is a local Portuguese law, that every software that issues sales invoices follows several requirements. For example, that you can export all your sales invoices monthly in a xml format to finances.

By certification, i would like to know if local partners will charge me (a lot) for this and how to know what are the portuguese law requirements

Yes, there is an associated cost, but I don't have a clear idea of the amount. There a several Portuguese legal requirements, but not all are mandatory there are dependent of your business activity.
