how to convert a workflow process for sending email with an attachment into a Flow

HI All,

I want to ask how to convert a workflow process for sending email with an attachment into a Flow. In the workflow, we set up the word template and then send an email with word document as attachment to users. I can't use the connector 'Send an Email V2' in which an attachment can be added. We want to use the 'Perform a bound action' connector, but I don't know how to add an attachment.

Thanks for your help!

@Jane88 may you please show me how you configured your current workflow in Dynamics 365 ,I have  a workflow that already sends and automated email with a specific  template that I just add the dynamic values added on the form, but I also need to attach photos to this workflow so that when it sends the template it also sends the photos ,I attach the photos using the Notes attachments functionality when the case entity is saved .

This where I attach the notes that I want to come through with the email that will shown below

This is the end result but has attachments missing below from the notes in the form of photos and that is what i would like to achieve

    Hi Jane88,

There is no direct way to add attachment I the flow, so we can use note entity to get fields value what we want indirectly.

We can first add this word as attachment to the Note in d365, then use ‘List Records’ by filter to retrieve it and fill these fields (body, file name and MIME type) with the value about it.

For example, I add a word as document to the note.

    Add ‘List Records’

Update attachment with the value of ‘List Records’.

    Thanks Lean!

We don't use Notes for this case. If I want to attach a file (word document from sharepoint), what should I enter for the fields: body, file name and MIME type:

    Thanks!

    Hi Jane88,

You mean that you can’t use 'Send an Email V2' to send email with attachment in flow, and you want to use 'Perform a bound action' to achieve it.

Before add 'Perform a bound action' in flow, you need add action ‘create a new record’ to create Email message and Attachment.

When create Attachment, you can associate it with email message just created.

In 'Perform a bound action' you can add email message that created to item ID.

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Community-Blog/Send-Email-from-Dynamics-365-CDS-with-Attachment-from-Notes/ba-p/604803

you can add note with attachment that you need to one entity, then receive it by list records.

Just like example, you can update new attachment created with it.
