Hi,
Has anyone able to disable the GP prompt on midnight? Saying it is 12:00, do you want to change the date?
Is this something that can be disabled - where we just allow GP to change date automatically?
Thanks for your insights...
Hi Elena,
GP Power Tools (GPPT in short) has a feature that handles all those settings in GP to suppress the nightly day change warning and also updates the date/time automatically, plus many other useful settings for GP users.. Check it out here.
You can get a free 30-days trial on the entire product. It's easy to setup and it's based on an annual subscription without a user count limit.
It seems to work on one night, but it reverts back.
We need this to work because we have a 3rd party capturing our records 24x7 and the midnight prompt is blocking it to continue without intervention after midnight...
If you have the Professional Services Tools Library (PSTL) installed with Dynamics GP, there is this option:
The Update User Date utility will automatically update the User Date in Microsoft Dynamics GP to the next date at midnight each day. The application will run in the background as long as Microsoft Dynamics GP is open. To activate this tool, simply mark the second check box next to Update User Date in the Professional Services Tools Library window.
In order for the Update User Date utility to work properly, you will need to have SuppressDateChangeDialog=TRUE in the Dex.ini file to suppress the date dialog that will be displayed if Microsoft Dynamics GP is left open over the midnight hour.
Thanks
