Set Project & Workers employment financial dimensions field compulsory

I am trying to Set Project & Workers employment financial dimensions field compulsory - reason behind this it's because our timesheet keep on failing on posting due to no financial dimensions derived from Project stated on timesheet (user that created project forgotten to key in the financial dimensions) or no financial dimension derived from workers/employment/ financial dimensions (this dimension is needed for payroll allocation for Internal Project type, again the HR never keyed in financial dimension).

I only want to make it compulsory on Project & Workers/Employees creation.

Anyone know which table and data field involved and how to do it? AX seems to have quite complicated way of storing dimensions.

This is an old question, however, I thought I'd throw something out there.  You wouldn't make it 'Mandatory' via any table or field.  I believe you would want to use the 'Account structures' setup to do this.

    Hi bRradlyJames,

Setting dimensions mandatory through account structure will work along with main account when you are creating document.

But in this case my understanding is that, the thread owner was expecting to set the financial dimension fields mandatory at master level.

And why I am saying this, because this is the piece of sentence from the original post - "Workers employment financial dimensions field compulsory".

If you go to "Employees" form, you will find the scope to define financial dimensions as a default value under "Employment" section in the employee master. So whenever the employee is selected in any document, the dimensions will be defaulted from the master. And this is the area where the thread owner wants to set the dimensions as mandatory in master.

Anyway.. chances are very low that you will get an answer on this as this thread was created 5 years back and the owner may not be knowing anymore if somebody is commenting on this thread

    Regards,
    Sourav
